The Vermont ban on plastics in the United States was officially implemented on July 1, 2020. According to regulations, EPS food packaging will no longer be provided by stores and food service agencies. If a store purchases these EPS packaging products before May 15, 2019, it can still be used up before July 1, 2021.
In addition, EPS is still allowed to be used for the packaging of meat, fish, poultry, and seafood, as well as the packaging or sale of products outside of Vermont. This use is not within the scope of the ban.
