Foaming equipment is a device that can make an aqueous solution of a certain concentration of foaming agent into foam. The blowing agent itself cannot become a foam automatically, it must pass through the mechanical action of the foaming machine to become a foam. Foaming machine and foaming agent are a technical system that cooperates with each other and cannot function alone.
The foaming equipment itself cannot produce foam out of thin air. It introduces air into the foaming agent aqueous solution and disperses it evenly to achieve the largest possible contact surface between liquid and gas, so that the surface active substances in the foaming agent are on the surface of the liquid film. An electrical double layer is formed and surrounds the air, forming bubbles one by one.
The main body of foam concrete is foam, so the foam machine for making foam has become the key equipment and main machine for the production of foam concrete. Without it, there would be no foam concrete.
Foaming equipment first appeared abroad, and its original model used high-speed rotating impellers to make foam, so it was also called “foaming equipment”. Later, with the continuous advancement of technology, the technical content of foaming equipment continued to increase, and new models continued to appear, forming different technical systems. Foaming equipment began to be used in our country as early as the 1950s, but it was not a special foaming machine, but a mortar mixer. The foaming agent is directly added to the mortar mixer or concrete mixer, and the foaming agent is mixed with the mortar or concrete to form foam. Around the 1970s, a special foaming agent began to appear, that is, a high-speed impeller foaming machine. Later, the technology was continuously upgraded and replaced, and now it has developed into the third-generation model with high-pressure inflation as the main body, which can basically meet the needs of foam concrete.
There are many brands and models of foaming machines, but in terms of foaming principles, there are only three types that are widely used at present: high-speed impeller type, high-pressure air type, and blast medium-low pressure type. The difference of the same type is only the difference in its ancillary equipment and automation control, and the structure of the foaming part is roughly the same.
Precautions for the use of foaming machine:
The temperature has a great influence on the output of the foaming machine and the quality of the foam. Below 30°C, the higher the water temperature, the smaller the foam density and the higher the output. But when the water temperature exceeds 30°C, because the foam density is too small and the bubble wall is too thin, it is easy to defoam, so the output will decrease instead. Therefore, the temperature of the aqueous solution of the foaming agent is controlled at 20°C to 30°C for the best foaming effect.
