1. Why does EPP need to be stored under pressure before use? Will this part restrict production and become a bottleneck? The pressing process is mainly the pretreatment of raw materials. The pressure-holding process increases the internal pressure of EPP particles and facilitates better adhesion between the particles during subsequent foaming. The pressing process does not limit production and becomes a bottleneck. Usually two factories will set Tanks to meet capacity needs.
2. Do EPP foams need catalysts and otherauxiliary materials?EPP is a physical foam. Unlike the chemical foam of polyurethane foam, it does not require a catalyst, and only needs to send heat source steam to the mold cavity to foam. This is also a factor of its non-toxicity and odor.
3. What is the main energy consumed by EPP equipment and is it electrical energy? The main energy source of EPP is water vapor. If water vapor is generated by electricity, the main energy consumption is electricity. But usually because of cost considerations, most of them will use renewable energy (such as straw), followed by natural gas, and finally consider electricity.
4. Water vapor is needed for EPP foaming,so is the water consumption large? The water consumption is not large, because the water condensed by water vapor can be recycled and reused, and the water vapor that has dropped in temperature will be returned to the boiler through the pipeline.
