When feeding, first open the exhaust port and blow the mold cavity with air. After preheating the mold cavity with 0.1-0.2MPa steam for 30 seconds, the EPS is fed into the mold cavity with a feeding spray gun. The entrained air is expelled through the air vent and the gap left by the closed mold. After feeding, the mold was closed and then heated in an air chamber with 0.1-0.2 MPa steam for 10-30 minutes. The EPS expands and fills the mold cavity. The cooling water is sprayed on the mold wall to cool, and then the product is released from the mold and sent to the drying room, dried in hot air at 50-60 ℃ for 24 hours, and solidified and shaped.

The extruder generally adopts a single-screw extruder, the length-diameter ratio (L/D) is (18-20):L, and the compression ratio is (2-4):L.1. The compression ratio should be properly controlled, not too large or too small, too large will cause the foaming agent to escape from the funnel, too small will cause bubbles due to the too small pressure of the foaming agent in the barrel; between the screw and the barrel The gap of the screw should be small; the head screw is torpedo-shaped, which can improve the mixing effect and prevent the pulsation of material flow: the expansion ratio is (3-6): L, and the pulling speed is fast, and the extruded foam is cooled under the action of blowing force , which orients the polystyrene macromolecules along the channel. The ion direction improves the mechanical strength of the product.
