(1) Steam box foaming For the production of small, thin-walled and complex plastic parts, steam box foaming is mostly used. Clamp the mold filled with the expandable polystyrene material of the foam molding machine and put it into the steam box to be heated by steam. The steam pressure and the heating time of the foam equipment depend on the size and thickness of the plastic part. Generally, the steam pressure is controlled at 0.05~0.25 MPa, and the heating time is 2~3 minutes, and it can be as long as 10 minutes or more according to the needs. The pre-expanded particles in the mold are softened and swelled by heat and fused with each other. The mold is taken out from the steamer, and the foamed plastic product can be obtained after cooling and demoulding.
(2) Foaming of foam plastic molding machine Foam plastic molding machine is a polystyrene foam molding equipment widely used in China. This equipment can be divided into two types: packaging molding machine and sheet molding machine. Foam plastic parts with larger thickness or large and medium-sized foam plastic parts often use foam plastic molding machines for direct foam molding. There is a 0.1~0.4mm diameter foam mechanical ventilation hole on the mold for ventilation. Before molding, 0.1~0.2MPa heating steam is introduced. After the mold is preheated for 0.5 minutes, the air outlet is opened and the air is used. Sending method: Inject the pre-expanded particles into the mold cavity, close the air outlet, and pass 0.1~0.2 MPa steam into the steam chamber to raise the temperature to about 1100C, and the pre-expanded particles in the cavity will expand and bond As a whole, close the steam valve and keep it for 1~2min, then pass cooling water, and then demould.
Styrofoam Molding Mold
The structure of the foam molding mold is relatively simple. For small, thin-walled and complex foamed plastic parts or foamed plastic parts produced in small batches, manual operation molds for steam box foaming are often used; for large thick-walled or mass-produced foamed plastic parts, belt molds are often used Foam molding machines with steam chambers directly pass steam into the foaming mold.
manual operation mold
The manual operation mold itself does not have a steam chamber, but the entire mold is placed in a steam box to heat it with steam, and after molding, it is removed from the box to cool. Manual steam box foaming mold for packaging cover, forming one piece at a time. During mould-closing, the mold casing 1 and the lower template 3 are positioned in a circle. For the convenience of mold opening, a pry opening 8 is provided around the mold. The upper formwork 2, the lower formwork 3 and the mold case 1 are all provided with ventilation holes with a diameter of 1-1.8mm, and the hole distance is 15-20mm. The entire mold is locked by the hinge bolt 6 and wing nut 5, and the swing of the hinge bolt should be sensitive and have sufficient strength.
