In the flotation production practice, if you want to choose a foam forming machine as a chemical, it can not only ensure the high flotation efficiency of the flotation machine, but also obtain easy-to-break foam, which is often not achieved. Therefore, it is often necessary to use mechanical or physical methods for defoaming.
The common mechanical defoaming method is to use a thin high-pressure water flow to break the foam; the suitable device is a high-pressure water spray nozzle, which can spray a strong and powerful thin water flow. For example, in the production of flotation machines, it is common to use fine-strand high-pressure hydraulic jetting to move the foam moving along the foam chute, or to jet the residual foam floating on the surface of the thickener. The device that sprays foam from different directions has achieved the purpose of strengthening defoaming; in individual cases, the foam is also defoamed through a reticulated centrifugal dehydrator.
The common physical and chemical defoaming method is to add certain agents such as non-polar hydrocarbon oils to the foam for defoaming. Flotation machine technical experts introduced that after the insoluble non-polar hydrocarbon oil is adsorbed on the surface of the bubble, on the one hand, the molecules of the non-polar foaming agent are expelled from the surface of the bubble; on the other hand, the hydrophobicity of the non-polar hydrocarbon oil makes the bubbles The hydration of the surface drops sharply, making the water film separating the bubbles unstable, leading to the merger and collapse of the bubbles.
