Higher material densities, for example for load-bearing surfaces, enable heavy products to be stacked and bring warehouse logistical advantages. In the case of protective components for people, too, certain points or areas are designed with a higher density in order to meet the requirements of ECE. Furthermore, by using different densities in a part, additional materials such as B. wood can be dispensed with, so that all the advantages of using a single material come into play.
