The EPS buffer layer is very light, 98% of its components are air, so in addition to buffering, it can also play a good role in heat insulation. Of course, if it comes to summer, it is necessary to maintain air circulation inside the helmet to prevent heat accumulation. Reducing the thickness of the buffer layer or designing vents becomes particularly important. The reduction in the amount of EPS means that the strength of the EPS must be further improved so that it will not be completely broken under the impact of energy. Of course, the price will be higher. At the same time, relative to the buffer layer is thicker, the safety of EPS with no or very small vent design is worse, depending on the needs of the wearer.

It can ensure that the EPS outside the buffer layer has higher hardness to resist energy impact, and at the same time, the internal elasticity is better. High EPS has better cushioning effect. In addition, there are other dual-density helmets, and the density of different layers is different.
