EPS is widely used in the field of building thermal insulation, which began in Europe in the 1970s-1980s, which was affected by the oil crisis. It has a history of 30-40 years and is still in use.
Due to its light weight, heat preservation and processed characteristics, EPS is used as thermal insulation material for wall insulation and roof insulation in building engineering; as sandwich material, it is used as steel wire mesh panel (such as Shule board) and color steel sandwich panel as interior partition material; as decorative material, EPS is processed into various European style art decorative components; as moisture-proof material, it is used for exterior wall of construction engineering below ± 0 moisture-proof.
The main characteristics of EPS insulation board aging are that the material becomes brittle and powdered, the color turns yellow and the contour is deformed. In use, as long as the EPS is not exposed to ultraviolet radiation for a long time, the aging speed of EPS can be effectively slowed down and the service life can be prolonged.
Backfilling is the process of replacing the soil that is removed during the construction procedures by certain types of materials and products. There are actually a lot of backfill materials that are utilized in this process – they are specified in their engineering properties and are chosen according to the requirement of the construction.
