The EPS recycled material market has been affected by positive factors and prices have risen. At present, the market supply is limited, especially the high-quality supply is tight, and the supply of ordinary materials is acceptable. Holders were reluctant to sell at low prices, and their quotations rose. At present, it is difficult to find low-price sources in the market, and some pellet manufacturers have the mentality of keeping their stocks and reluctant to sell them.
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, which is cheap and light but not biodegradable and difficult to recycle. However, German scientists have developed a possible alternative-foam made from popcorn. Professor Alireza Kharazipour from George-August University had this idea for the first time more than 10 years ago when he bought a bag of popcorn in a movie theater.
In a subsea SURF transportation & installation project campaign, the deployment, loadout and mobilisation of the SURF always require large reel to carry and extend them when necessary. In an ideal world the reel sizes would be as variable as the SURF. However in reality, manufacturing reel in multiple sizes would be incredibly expensive, meeting requirements for specific jobs can be costly. A common solution – resizing, typically this has been done by using either wooden or steel partitions to narrow the reel , yet to perform a safe and optimum transportation & installation operation, the weight of the SURF reel is always had constraint and a critical factor.
